HOSPICE INITIATIVE CELEBRATED CHRISTMAS IN GRAND STYLE

We strongly believe there is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. I have been in the world for sometimes and understand that there is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others. My Mum and life experience really showed me better examples.

The day we all have been waiting for. It was a great moment at the Infection Disease Hospital (IDH), Yaba on Christmas day (25th of Dec. 2018). Hospice Initiative celebrated with the sick as we believe we are blessed to be a blessing unto others in need. The hospital staffs were all friendly and really happy to meet with us, we met them celebrating the Christmas with the represented of Lagos State government on seat and some wonderful people. The founder of Hospice Initiate Miss Kareem Adenike was giving a chance to talk about the reason why she has decided to celebrate the Christmas in the way.

Miss Kareem Adenike explained about her zeal in providing for the needy and anyone in need. “I have passed through alots in life and I know how it feels for some people that don’t really have so much so I have taken it as a responsibility for myself and my initiatives to do the little we can to help those that are in need one way or the other”, she explained. Miss Adenike also talked on her first experience at IDH, “it was really an emotional moment seeing some children loss their mother. Since then I have plan that my first outreach will start from here”. She then appreciated the government and the staff of IDH for a job well done.

Hospice Initiative came with lots of items such as; food, tooth paste, milo, soaps,  table water, soft drinks, detergents and so on. We went into each ward where the patient her to give them with the help of some staff, patient were really happy to see people coming out to celebrate the Christmas with them. It all ended with prayers from the staff and patient.

Get ready for more of our next outreach as we are blessed to be a blessing to others, feel free to join us next time.
